What Were 2015′s Most Searched For Holiday Destinations? Google Reveals!
Google has revealed the trending top holiday destinations for 2015, via UK travel searches. In 2014, Paris took the lead, but it’s been knocked off the top spot, and, in fact, the entire list, by popular new places on travel bucket lists.
Here’s a look at the top 10 trending destinations.
1. New York
No surprises here, as the home of the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building and an (arguably) unrivalled art, culture, dining, fashion and nightlife scene. New York has topped travel bucket lists for decades and there’s no doubt the city’s vibrant appeal will continue to compel travellers for years to come.
What’s not to love about the USA? From the famous attractions of Hollywood, the theme parks of Orlando and the glitter of Las Vegas, to the natural beauty of the Grand Canyon, Hawaii and Yellowstone National Park, it would take a lifetime to fully discover the wealth of attractions that lure tourists from across the globe, time and again.
With the Great Barrier Reef leading the way among an extraordinary array of natural wonders, Australia beckons travellers who love the great outdoors. Holiday-makers visit favourite spots, such as Ayres Rock, Kakadu National Park, the Whitsunday Islands and Tasmania for adventure, before discovering the stunning beaches lining the coast and the atmospheric vibe of Sydney and Melbourne.
