With 2017 well under way, we’re all looking forward to kicking off new travel adventures for the year. Before we do though, let’s take a flashback to December’s adventures for Simply Holiday Deals members.

Check out our most popular Instagram pics of your travels for 2016’s festive month. Thanks for sharing and #shdmembersrock!

Barbados, Caribbean
By Paul Taylor

This delightfully pink pic was shot by Simply Holiday Deals member, Paul Taylor, who said, “One of the best holidays ever had. Hotel right on the beach. As the sun was going down, two of the free Waves Cats were passing.”   Sounds like the right ingredients for one of the best holidays ever! Barbados has a splash of glamour, a dash of British familiarity and large dose of gorgeous coastline for swimming, surfing and basking in the Caribbean sun.     Mount Warning, Australia By Nicole West

Beautiful reflections of Australia’s Mount Warning, captured by Nicole West, shimmered in the glassy depths of the Tweed River. Located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Mount Warning Rainforest Park is a popular tourist spot, as a day trip from Byron Bay or the Gold Coast. If you’re feeling active, you can do the five hour return walk to the summit, for panoramic views of the hinterland and coast.

Prague, Czech Republic
By Emma Newman

Emma Newman snapped this haunting image of Prague’s Old Town at night. The Old Town Square, with the Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church and St. Nicholas Church is one of the most atmospheric in Europe. When you’re not discovering the ancient buildings and compelling history, dine alfresco at restaurants surrounding Baroque, Romanesque and Gothic architecture.   Tatra Mountains, Poland By Anna Smilowska

Panoramic mountain views went hand in hand with childhood memories, for Anna Smilowska in Poland. Of her trip, she says, “My visits to my country always means short trips to Tatra which reminds me of my childhood plays, local foods and culture. Very emotional journey.”

Part of the Carpathian mountain chain, the Tatra Mountains are within protected national parkland, between Slovakia and Poland. Both locals and visitors love to visit for summer and winter sports, as well as wildlife spotting.

By Amber McCabe

Amber McCabe was lucky enough to capture this stunning sunset, in Paphos. The coastal holiday haven is a delightful mix of beaches, crumbling ancient ruins and mythology to discover. Visit Coral Bay for pristine sand and Mediterranean swimming, and explore history at the Kato Paphos Archaeological Park.
