Did you jet off to sunnier shores in April? Or take a break at home to enjoy the crisp air in the countryside? Either way, April brings lovely weather to many of our favourite places across the globe and our members have been out and about to explore.
From Iceland’s incredible natural scenery to one of the seven manmade wonders of the world, here’s a look at this month’s most popular Instagram images.
Grand Canyon, Arizona, USA

Simply Holiday Deal’s member, Valerie Graham took a stunning, ‘bird’s eye view’ shot of the Grand Canyon. The rugged landscape, earthy colours and dramatic chasms are famous the world over, as a travel bucket list destination.
The iconic landmark offers a wealth of experiences, though just admiring panoramic views is a breathtaking event. Go white water rafting, hike the Bright Angel Trail, explore the rim by bike or take a helicopter ride for the ultimate discovery.
Chichen Itza, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico

“A trip to Chichen Itza. One of the seven manmade wonders of the world,” said Brian Jones of this enchanting image of the Mayan pyramid. The UNESCO World Heritage area is an easy trip from Cancun or Cozumel.
The complex contains temples, carved columns and soaring pyramids, however its Castillo pyramid that garners the most attention. Its four sides have 365 steps depicting the solar year and 52 panels for each year in the Mayan century.

“We witnessed the most amazing sunsets last year, truly spectacular,” Lyn Stevens said of her magical photo. Cornwall is well known for beautiful beaches and Gunwalloe is no exception. The small fishing cove is a favourite holiday spot of families, with a sandy beach, a popular pub and interesting history to discover in the surrounding areas.
