2. Levi, Lapland
No Christmas list is complete without mentioning Lapland! Besides being the home of Santa Claus, Lapland luckily also has some beautiful ski slopes to explore. Finland’s fastest growing ski resort area, Levi features two gondola lifts and a free bus service connecting all hotels and most slopes. The resort offers over 200 km of well-maintained cross-country ski trails and almost 900 km of snowmobile trails. On your time off the slopes, enjoy the resort’s saunas or pay a visit to Father Christmas with your little ones.

3. St. Anton, Austria
St. Anton has been acclaimed worldwide for its excellent ski conditions and lively après ski entertainment. It is part of the Arlberg ski area which boasts over 90 cable cars and ski lifts, almost 350 km of slopes and 200 km of deep-snow runs all of which can be accessed with just one ski pass. In St. Anton specifically, you will be able to find groomed pistes for all ski levels, the majority of which for beginners and intermediate skiers. After an exciting day on the slopes, head to the Krazy Kangaroo or Moosewirt two excellent après ski joints featuring live music and DJ spinning into the wee hours of the morning.

4. Cervinia, Italy
A small sunny resort filled with nursery slopes and blue runs, perfect to get your little ones started in the world of skiing! With loads of self-catering apartments and charming hotels near the slopes, your life will be made extra easy with such easy access between your accommodation and the ski runs. Plus, what kid doesn’t love to take a break from skiing to grab a slice of pizza?

5. Breckenridge, Colorado, USA
If you don’t mind the long haul flight, Colorado offers some of the world’s best ski trails and charming villages that go all out over the Christmas holidays with festive decorations and loads of events. Breckenridge specifically is a picturesque town set at approximately 3,000 high meaning you might actually feel a little light headed in the first couple of days after arriving so take a break to acclimatise. After you’re feeling less dizzy, explore the 2908 acres of ski terrain or wander through the pretty streets of Breckenridge.
