Things You Don't Wanna Miss While In Vegas

They say what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, but when you make it your mission to hit up all of the Strip’s hottest attractions, you’ll never want to let your family and friends hear the end of it— particularly  because many of your experiences will come unexpected. Contrary to what some believe, Vegas isn’t just about casinos and neon lights; there’s a whole world out there for you to explore. From breathtaking live shows and unbelievable sights to brain-rattling gun ranges and tours with extreme activities you can actively participate in, there are countless things to see and do during your stay.

If you don’t have a plan, it’s much too easy to get distracted and not see things you need to see. Here is a list of must-see things to prioritize while in Vegas.

Shows You’ll Never Forget

The shows and concerts Las Vegas has to offer are as eclectic as they come, filled to the brim with uber-talented performers. Frankly speaking, any Cirque du Soleil production is a must-see at some point during your life— no matter what it is.

However, if you want to choose a show or concert that better aligns with your personal interests, there are plenty of options out there for you to choose from. Here are a few of today’s most popular selections:

  • Cirque du Soleil: KA, which is a compelling adventure that combines acrobatics, martial arts, puppetry, and pyrotechnics to tell an epic story of good vs. evil.
  • Absinthe, which is described as an adult-only, “surreal ‘acro-cabaret variety show,’” featuring raunchy dialogue, death-defying stunts, and side-splitting comedy.
  • The Blue Man Group, whose stars put on an unpredictable and entertaining show built upon a fun foundation of music, visual effects, and comedy to create a spectacle that’s perfect for the entire family.
  • Terry Fator at the Mirage, where Fator, one of Las Vegas’ greatest illusionists, will wow you with his world-class puppeteering skills and singing impressions.

Sightseeing & Extreme Tours

Vegas is great in that it gives you options: whether you decide to simply visit a number of tourist locations during your stay, or take advantage of all of Vegas’ extreme tours and activities, you’ll be able to do so.

As for typical laid-back sightseeing trips, you won’t want to miss a visit to the High Roller— the world’s tallest Ferris wheel— or the Bellagio Fountains, which dance to an array of music from the early afternoon through the middle of the night. If you’re willing to drive a bit out of town, the Hoover Dam Bypass and the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area are both located roughly a half hour away from Las Vegas.

If you’re looking for a tour that will satiate the daredevil in you, there are a number of extreme tours and experiences you can partake in, including:

  • Helicopter Tours
  • Tandem Skydiving Tours
  • ATV & Dune Buggy Adventures
  • Luxury Car Driving Experiences (where you can get behind the wheel of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, BMWs, etc.)

Get Your Hands On Some Serious Firepower

Another thing you don’t want to miss in Vegas is a trip to Machine Guns Vegas, Las Vegas’ premier shooting range. At MGV, you will not only be able to get your hands on some kickass artillery—including some of both history and Hollywood’s most infamous firearms—but you’ll be able to finally know what it feels like to quiet a room with a single pull of the trigger. From lightweight submachine guns and sniper rifles, to rare semi-automatic and pump action firearms, you’ll have their full armory, including over 30 firearms, at your disposal, replete with many different packages to choose from if you’re looking for a deal.

In fact, at Machine Guns Vegas, you can even kill two birds with one stone. If you want to not only get your hands on some serious firepower, but take part in one of the extreme tours aforementioned, it may just be your lucky day. Depending upon when you book your trip, MGV may still have some bundles of their most popular deals around (for example, combining a day at the range with a helicopter tour or a chance to ride a Lamborghini.)

Be sure to check out their bundles while booking your trip to Vegas to see what savings you can cash in on!
