1. Notre Dame Cathedral

Entry is free, however you have to pay if you want to climb its twin towers. You can also stroll along the Seine for remarkable views of the famous structure.
2. Parc de la Villette Open Air Cinema
With themed gardens, sculptures and a giant movie screen, summer nights in Paris at the Parc de La Villette are free, atmospheric and festive. Take a picnic along to enjoy before the movie and settle in for a memorable night under stars.
3. Jardin du Luxembourg
On the border between Saint-Germain-des-Pres and the Latin Quarter, the Luxembourg gardens cover 25 hectares of land and are split into French and English garden sections. There are 106 statues across the grounds, entertainment and facilities for children, photography exhibitions and the Medici Fountain. The best thing is, entrance is free!
4. The Love Wall
The ‘I Love You’ wall was conceived by Frederic Baron and Claire Kito and features ‘I love you’ written 311 times in 250 languages on squares of enameled lava. Red splashes indicate broken hearts and the wall’s purpose is bringing people back together. This gorgeous token of Parisian love can be viewed for free at Place de Abbesses in Montmarte.
5. Père Lachaise Cemetery
Père Lachaise is the world’s most visited cemetery, with the famous graves of Jim Morrison and Oscar Wilde held inside. Opened in 1804, the cemetery’s incredible ornate tombs and beautiful gardens are home to moving memorials and fascinating histories. You can find it on Boulevard de Menilmontant.
6. Sandeman’s New Europe Walking Tour

7. Parc du Champ de Mars
You don’t have to pay the fee to take a ride to the top of the Eiffel Tower to enjoy it. Parc du Champ de Mars offers spectacular ground views of the iconic landmark in amongst landscaped gardens and pretty flowerbeds. Take a picnic, some wine, brie and bread and wait for the lightshow created by the Eiffel Tower at night.
8. Place de la Concorde
The Place de la Concorde is the largest square in Paris, situated between the Tuileries and the Camps-Elysees. It’s famous for the Luxor Obelisk, prestigious hotels, two historic fountains and for the fact that Marie-Antoinette was guillotined there. There’s always street buskers and a lively vibe for a wonderful day of people watching.
9. Stroll Down the Seine
Walking along the banks of this famous river, especially on dusk or at night, is an event in itself as you never know what, or who, may come along. Check out the amazing views of the city’s top attractions and go to Pont de Arts, near the Louvre, to watch artists capturing the city in real time.
10. Parc Monceau
Perfect for a family day, Parc Monceau is in the 8th arrondissement and includes interesting features such as scaled down versions of an Egyptian pyramid, a Chinese fort, a Dutch windmill and Corinthian Pillar. The park has a play area for children, a free Wi Fi area and sculptures of Guy de Maupassant and Frederic Chopin.
