Tenerife refers to the biggest and most well known of the Canary Islands, which are part of Spain. It might also refer to the capital province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, or the capital city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Tenerife is a huge tourist attraction, calling in over ten million people a year who frequent the resorts towards the south of the island. Characterised by a party atmosphere, with rowdy nightclubs, beer and sun lounging on the beach, there is actually much more to Tenerife, though you would be missing out to not indulge a bit in the island’s generosity. Aside from the restaurants and tourist traps, there is another thoughtful side to the island, which is defined by tropical forest walks, volcanic lava, celebrations, museums, modern art and old colonial buildings that recall the struggles of yesteryear.

Tenerife is the largest and most populated island of the seven Canary Islands and is also the most populated island of Spain with a land area of 2,034.38
