Paphos is a city of history that has only recently began expanding its tourism industry. There are two main parts to break down for your itinerary, the upper section on the “hill”, which has most of the commercial establishments, and the lower end, also known as Kato Paphos, which has historical sites and archaeological interests. The lower end also has many taverns and hotels. The lower end area wasn’t always so pretty but recently has been renovated to be more accommodating. Now you can see a promenade that leads to the marina, complete with excellent scenic views of the area.
