The Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) is an international airport that receives flights from Europe, Casablanca and some of the Arab countries. Menara is one in six airports in Morocco that facilitates a special VIP service, Salon Convives de Marque. There are two money exchange counters inside the terminal for exchange between Moroccan Dirhams and other currencies. There are direct flights to Marrakech by British Airways, Ryanair and Thomson Airways. Marrakech also welcomes flights from Casablanca, mostly from non-European countries. A flight from the United States, Asia or Canada will mostly have a transfer in Casablanca. The flight between Casablanca and Marrakech is about 45 minutes long. The Marrakech airport is located just about 3 km away from the city. Taxis, buses and car rentals are available for travel from the airport to the city.
British Airways is the United Kingdom’s biggest scheduled airline and flies to over 550 travel destinations across the globe. British Airways was founded in 1974 and has its main hubs at the London Gatwick Airport and the London Heathrow airport. British Airways has an alliance with Oneworld and its subsidiaries include BA CityFlyer, OpenSkies, British Airways Limited and British Airways World Cargo. It is UK’s largest airline based on fleet size, its fleet size being 292. The British Airways headquarters are in Waterside, England. The airport lounge includes the Concorde Room, the Galleries First, the Galleries Club, the Galleries Arrivals, the First Lounge, the Terraces Lounge, the Executive Club Lounge and the British Airways Lounge. British Airways offers membership in the Executive Club under the Frequent-flyer program.

Ryanair is Ireland’s low budget airline. Founded in 1985, Ryanair’s operations take place chiefly at the Dublin Airport and the London Stansted Airport. Ryanair has a fleet size of 302 and flies to 179 destinations. Its headquarters are located in Swords, Dublin. Ryanair functions in 28 countries in Europe and in Morocco.
Thomson Airways is the World’s largest charter airline with a fleet size of 48. Thomson Airways flies to 96 destinations and has operating bases in Belfast, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Sheffield, Dublin, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London-Gatwick, London-Luton, London-Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle. Its headquarters are based in Crawley and Luton in the UK.
Thomson airways offers scheduled and charter flights from the UK and Ireland to destinations in Europe, Africa, Asia and North America and in 2013, Thomson was declared the third largest airline, having carried a total of 10.5 million passengers.
Royal Air Maroc, known also as RAM, is the Moroccan national carrier. RAM is government-owned and has its base at Mohammed V International Airport and its headquarters in the Casablanca-Anfa Airport. Its subsidiaries are RAM Cargo and RAM Express. RAM was founded in 1957 and flies mostly to the Marrakech International Airport, the Tangier ibnBattouta Airport and the Paris Orly Airport. The carrier also runs a domestic thread in Morocco and flies to destinations in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. The carrier also offers a few charter flights and a Hajj package.
